About St Basils in Birmingham

In Birmingham we have St Basils Youth Hub: the gateway to a whole range of services from us and 5 other local providers for young people (aged 16-25) who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. St Basils also has 24 supported accommodation projects in Birmingham providing over 350 bed spaces for homeless young people.

We also offer:

  • Housing Related Support (Floating Support) to help prevent 'at risk' young people from becoming homeless.
  • Family Mediation (for young people aged 16-21)
  • Face-to-face advice and assessments
  • Help accessing education, employment and training (for young people accessing our other services)

Access to all these services and more from other local providers is through the Youth hub on Heath Mill Lane, Deritend, Birmingham. Please click on the 'Get Help' button above if you need help or want to access any of these services.

businesses: give a young person a chanceMaria

We are looking for businesses in the Birmingham area willing to offer mentoring to a young person and/ or willing to take on one of our young residents for a one week or two week work experience placement. Willmott Dixon recently reported a very positive experience with one of our young people: Maria, 24 (pictured). They liked her so much they ended up offering her a position - although there is absolutely no expectation to do this.

Case study: Maria, 24

To discuss further with no obligation please contact Learning, Skills and Work Manager Tamaan Warner on 0121 772 9501 or email LSW@stbasils.org.uk.

donations from individuals in the Birmingham Area

In Birmingham we are often in need of donations of long-life food, new toiletries, new nightwear and starter packs for our emergency accommodation projects which house single homeless young people. Clothes must be age appropriate (for babies or 16-25 year olds). We have very little storage and there are some items we cannot take so please call us first.

Due to parking issues in Digbeth we are encouraging individuals to donate direct to our accommodation schemes.

Please call your nearest project, either Milner Court (Bordesley) which has 25 units of accommodation on 0121 772 3098 or Yardley House (Yardley) which has 15 units of acccommodation on 0121 789 9019.

If you would like to make a financial donation to help contribrute towards supporting a young person or getting a young person into work please click on the Donate button at the top of the page or contact the Fundraising team
